Termite Control
Termites are responsible for billions of dollars in damage worldwide. Here in the Bahamas, homeowners and business owners spend thousands of dollars on termite damage repairs and treatments. Our warmer climate means that we have a variety of termite species living on our islands. The most notable species fall under three categories: subterranean, dry wood and super termites.

Termite treatment procedures vary depending on what type of termite you are dealing with. When choosing a pest management provider, it is important that they are able to tell the difference between the main three types of termites. Incorrect identification by the pest professional can mean very costly consequences for you, the client.

At Budget Pest Control, we not only treat termites, but we study them in order to make our treatment programs as effective as possible. We most recently partnered with Dr. Susan Jones at The Ohio State University and her lab in researching the biology and spread of the super termite (C. formasanos) on Grand Bahama. Our research paper has been published in the October 2018 edition of the Journal of Entomological Science and the February 2019 edition of PCT Magazine.
